Your Baby v. The Law
Jake’s Big Mistake
One of my son's friends, I’ll call him Jake—a boy of 17—is in prison for six more years for conspiring to commit an armed robbery in which the store's owner killed his friend, the holdup boy. Jake was in the car. Or outside of the store. Whatever. He was on the scene.

It wasn't his gun and he didn't rob anybody. To this day he swears that he didn't know his homey was committing a robbery. His friend, he says, went into the store to "pick up something." But then, the junior bandit isn't alive to tell us otherwise.
