| The AirSource 3000 cleans your home air. Read below to learn how AirSource cleans more air better than any other brand. Air pollution is hard to control outdoors. You have a choice indoors. |
All other air purifiers on the market either:
|
In 1995 the Environmental Protection Agency said indoor air quality is the nation’s number one environmental health concern. ![]() A recent study estimated that approximately 64,000 people in the United States die prematurely from heart and lung disease every year due to particulate air pollution -- more people than die each year in car accidents. Among children, air pollutants are associated with increased acute respiratory illness. |
|
We recommend an AirSource air purifier because ... Indoor air within homes and other buildings can be more seriously polluted than the outdoor air in the largest and most industrialized cities. ![]() Do you know how safe your indoor air is? |
|
A respiratory disaster is the result of long periods of accumulated exposure, not one whiff of toxic air. Clean air is a delicate balance of nitrogen and oxygen, with small amounts of argon, carbon dioxide, neon, helium, and other gases. Unfortunately, pollutants are altering this mixture by adding myriad ingredients which alone and in concert pose health risks to everyone who breathes the air, particularly children. Three types of contaminants are present:
|
|
We recommend an AirSource air purifier because ... People spend 90% of their time indoors. Sources of pollution include building materials which continuously exude contaminants, household products, mold and cooking. A person breaths 34,000 gallons of air each day. Air problems include heart disease, cancer, allergies, reduced immune function, impaired cognitive ability, and asthma. During the 1980s, the prevalence of childhood asthma increased nearly 40 percent. In the 21st century it is worse. Respiratory irritants in buildings, that may take a long time to generate symptoms, are called volatile organic compounds (VOCs) including formaldehyde, toluene, and chloroform. VOCs may enter from outside but remain trapped in indoors, or they may be released from building materials, carpets, and furniture. These compounds are emitted from glues, paints, and detergents. VOCs also come from evaporated gasoline emitted from parked cars, in addition to the directly offensive hydrocarbons from moving vehicle exhaust. People living next to a busy road have higher incidence of respiratory affliction. |
| The AirSource 3000 goes beyond any other brand air purifier on the market. What is your concept of an air purifier? Most people imagnine a fan and a filter in some appliance that sucks in bad air and exhales good air. The AirSource has no fan, filter, or parts which require cleaning. It does not collect dirt or contaminant particles at all. It cleans air in another way. |
|
outdated purifiers: Passive HEPA filters are breeding grounds for bacteria. They require costly replacement of filters. They can not stop odors. They are noisy. Their efficacy declines as filters age. An electrostatic precipitator is on the market in the form of a Sharper Image Ionic Breeze. This item received the lowest rating in Consumer Reports, Feb 2002, specifically the lowest rating for dust, smoke and two types of pollutants. It offers no reduction of microbes, odors or harmful gasses. It offers no reduction of particulates smaller than 1 micron. It leaves 98% of bad particulates in your air. Ionic Breeze cost: $499.95 first, $249.98 second (as of March 2005). 29” tall; cleans 500 sq feet - one sixth the area of AirSource. The ionic breeze emits constant Ultraviolet Germicidal light. Air not in view will not be treated. Grids must be washed every 2 weeks and dried thoroughly. Buy extra grids for washing, if you want unit to keep working while washing and drying. Dangerous if one foot away from a person, according to the instructions. Generates ozone. Replacement bulb $20 annually. Ozone corona discharge, a popular technology used in Sharper Image’s Ionic Breeze, creates nitrogen oxides which irritate eyes, sinuses, lungs; can generate electromagnetic radiation that can disturb radio and TV reception; ozone generators do not reduce dust; ozone often exceeds safe levels. Pollutants can reach your nose before they reach a common filter purifier. Filters and electrostatic precipitators only remove airborne contaminants from air that flows directly through the unit or through the immediate vicinity of the unit. The common purifiers have no effect on the air a few feet away or in the next room. AirSource is not passive but truly active, for it reaches out to clean far more air than that which comes into contact with it. AirSource requires no monthly or weekly cleaning and no replacing of filters or grids. Airsource 3000 does emit some ozone when you first turn it on, but far less than an ozone style purifier, and less than the official safe limit. Airsource emits less ozone than a photocopy machine. |
| habits of dirt Unseen dust and mold particles may linger 1-6 feet above floor in idle room. Every time you walk, that unwanted particulate matter is easily kicked up into your breathing space. It never settles down for long. Dust, bacteria, insect waste, pollen, mold, paint or chemical fume particulates and microbial contaminants are positively charged, as are walls, which means they repel each other. Particulate matter is like a bunch of invisible super balls. They receive energy from each other to bounce further from each other into other examples of themselves then away again. That dirty matter will always fill any room it can reach. AirSource changes the charge of dirt Testers placed an AirSource 3000 unit in a 10x10x10-foot room. Next, they emptied a large bag of dirt and dust into the air and blew it around the room with a portable leaf-blower. Visibility became almost nil. After 48 hours the testers found the air clear and the dirt and dust resting on the floor. The testers turned on their blower again and aimed toward the waste matter on the floor. They moved in close. The layer of dust and dirt could not be stirred up. It would not rise. That waste matter had become neutrally charged. It had agglomerated to form larger particles clinging to each other. The leaf blower only managed to push the treated dirt-substance around like heavy sand which would not float up. |
AirSource works 2 ways: photoionization & electron generation
Gases brought into the AirSource 3000 react with high-intensity UV light on a trimetallic target (copper, silver and aluminum). This Photoionization technology creates Advanced Oxidizers (superoxide ions and hydroperoxide radicals) which, through electron generation, are negatively charged and function as cleaning molecules attracted to positively charged dirt. The Advanced Oxidizers contain a loosely held oxygen atom which is "available" to be released so that it will readily react with organic contaminants in the air.
Speaking as a chemist, the term "organic contaminants" does not refer to lettuce, carrots, and soybeans grown in manure. The word "organic" here implies that some carbon atoms are included. Even vile synthetic compounds that contain some carbon can be called "organic contaminants." The organic contaminants in household air are neutralized and agglomerated by the Advanced Oxidizers from AirSource and then dropped to the floor. The cleaning molecules created by AirSource are considered "friendly oxidizers" because they revert back to oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and microscopic specs of plain water after they do their job of oxidation with the trash in the air. In other words, after the Advanced Oxydizers transform trash into dead weight, they transform themselves into regular dirt-free air. Diffusion of gases into your air is always occurring. Coffee aroma can travel from a kitchen to a bedroom even when no breeze is flowing. Turpentine opened in a basement can be smelled upstairs without a draft. That is diffusion. The AirSource 3000 can be regarded as creating a new friendly gas which is like air but is equipped with an extra ionized oxygen atom on several of the air molecules. This new gas is designed to silently diffuse throughout a house and seek out and neutralize contaminants. Whereas conventional air purifiers have fans and/or filters which you hope will treat the air before you inhale it, this appliance turns all the air in a house into a filter. To clean that "filter," simply vacuum, wash or sweep the floor. Advanced Oxydizers not consumed will be "stored" in a room’s air as airborne oxydizers and travel until they find contaminant targets. Consequently, a treated room will continue to destroy organic contaminants for days after an AirSource 3000 unit has been removed. |
Tests were done before and after AirSource was used in:
A 2,400 square foot medical clinic. -- After 24hrs, bacteria reduced 71%-80%.
Four homes -- After four days, mold reduced 77%-97.7%. Performance Analytical, Inc., a NELAP accredited lab certified for organic analysis by the American Industrial Hygiene Association, used a 1,008 cubic foot room. After 4 hours, volatile organic compounds (VOC’s) reduced 13%-98%. After 3 days, airborne particulates reduced 64%-95%. Why is there a range of 64%-95% ? This was a measurement of density of particles of different sizes.
The quickest way for you to test an AirSource unit is to place it near a cat’s litter box or where a dog sleeps indoors. If an unpleasant odor is usually there, check back in two hours. You will smell the difference. The cat’s odor is not your biggest concern. It is the odorless particles and microbes which represent slow buildup in your body that may eventually be dangerous. The AirSource 3000 consumes as much electricity as a low watt light bulb. It will treat all the air in 3000 square foot group of rooms. It silently removes particulates, microbes, gases, and odors from your breathing space. Other brands utilize inferior technology which will not be as effective for as many contaminants. Those other brands have dangers written up in popular journals. Since multiple units would be required to cover equal area, the other brands would cost $1200-$3000 and usually require frequent changing of expensive filters. AirSource takes the charge out of air. Consequently, static shocks are virtually eliminated. Also, the built in monitor prevents a buildup of negative charges. This prevents the “blackwall” effect – the ugly electroplating of dust to your wall, a syndrome caused by some other brands. In October 2001, the RGF company, who manufactures AirSource for Shaklee, was consulted by numerous corporations and the federal government for the purpose of applying this photoionization technique to address the threat of bio-terrorism in the form of airborne microbes including anthrax. Not to say that AirSource is effective against anthrax, but this technology is widely respected as the most effective way available to protect your air. |

Testimonies allergies I have suffered from allergic Rhinitis for years. AirSource is cleaning the air in my house. I have fewer attacks, more comfort, greater well-being, and substantial savings on drugs. I can see a great potential for this technology in pet boarding facilities, animal hospitals, and animal research facilities for the control of pathogens, allergens and animal odors. -- Ovid Fraser, BVSc. MRCVS, PhD; Fraser's Veterinary Products Inc, Southborough, MA, 30 Apr 2003 Prior to using the AirSource 3000 device, patients asked me why my receptionist had been crying. Her allergies were that bad. She struggled with itchy, watery eyes daily. Her problem is now a thing of the past. AirSource eliminated it. I was initially hesitant, but this purchase has proven very worthwhile. Patients and employees appreciate the clean fresh smell in our office. -- Dana Isaacson, DDS, Bloomington, MN, 5 June 2002 |

medical offices The AirSource 3000 device is the single best purchase I have ever made for my office. Mold and bacteria had been manifesting within the walls. We noticed a big change since plugging in AirSource. Many of my patients have purchased the unit solely by experiencing what it has done in my office. -- Dr Joshua Dunsky, Chiropractic Physician, Dunsky Chiropractic, Natick, MA, 1 Nov 2002 Employees were quite skeptical, but within the first 24 hours, 2 patients commented as to how clean and fresh the air smelled in our clinic. -- Connie Berg, Foley Dental Office, Coon Rapids, MN, 7 Oct 2002 |

assisted living residences One of our residents has foul smelling body odor that permeates her room and our hallway. We bathe her frequently. Her odor is too intense to quell even for a short time. It embarasses her and us. The AirSource unit removed her odor from her room as well as our hallway. She was upset when we tried to move the unit to another room. Many families complained about our smoking room smell, also a nuissance in our hallway. Smoking residents consume 3 packs per day total in our designated smoking common room. Now there is very little, if any, evidence of smoke aroma in the room or hallway 30 minutes after the last smoker. I purchased 3 AirSource units. -- Westerville Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing Care Inc; Westerville, Ohio, 1 Mar 2002 In the shower and dirty linen rooms the AirSource device removed unpleasant odors within a half hour. We have a resident who refuses daily housekeeping service in their room and only bathes once per week. We have tried multiple air freshening systems to control that person's odors with little success, but after just ten minutes the AirSource made a noticeable reduction in odors in the room. The AirSource device exceeded our initial expectations. -- Benjamin Somero, Woodridge Convalescent Facility, Grapevine, TX, 1 Nov 2002 I have tried other air purifiers in my 20+ years in the healthcare industry. This is truly the best. -- Mike Larouche Whitney Place Assisted Living Residence, Natick, MA, 5 Jan 2002 We have a constant flow of guests who are absolutely amazed at the reduction of odors experienced in our facility. State surveyors were very impressed. The rehabilitation staff was so acutely aware of the air quality improvement, that six staff members bought the units for their own homes. I strongly recommend the AirSource 3000 unit for every nursing home facility. -- Kay Bourgault RNC, Wayland Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Wayland, MA, 16 July 2003 |

paint You placed an AirSource 3000 device in my retail paint store. One of my employees unplugged it accidentally after 3 days. Within 6 hours the smells of paint and thinner were noticeable again. The unit is on again, never to be shut off. -- Ben Greenberg, Debsan Decorating, Natick, MA, 8 Apr 2002 Our office was painted on Wednesday night. We came in at 8:o'clock Thursday morning. There was a complete lack of smell, even though the painters had finished at 6:a.m. They had kept an AirSource unit near them as they worked. -- Adam Ellis, Ellis Insurance, Natick, MA, 13 Jun 2002 |

realty As longtime real estate agents, we have often been faced with problems selling our listings, especially when they are odor challenged with dampness, pets, cooking, smoking and paint odors. Illnesses caused by allergic reactions to toxic building materials are increasing along with the probability of liability for realtors. AirSource has reduced odors in our home and has really made a difference in our health. This unit will increase our business, reduce our liability, and make our buyers and sellers much happier. -- Ken and Carole Collyard Realtors; Overland Park, KS, 7 Oct 2002 A property had been vacant for a year and a half. A terribly musty odor was immediately apparent. We noted stains on the carpet from mildew and mold. We placed the AirSource unit in the house on Saturday. On Monday there was a very marked difference in the quality of the air. There was a distinct diminishing of mustiness. Breathing was far easier. I highly recommend the AirSource 3000 device for its impact on sick houses. -- David Small, Real Estate Advantage, Jamestown, NY, 10 Sep 2001 |
